McDiarmid Park
McDiarmid Park became St Johnstone FC’s home in 1989, replacing Muirton Park after decades of football at the club’s former ground. Located on the western outskirts of Perth, it was developed as a purpose-built, all-seated stadium and has a straightforward modern layout. Its construction reflected the changing expectations of professional football grounds in the late twentieth century. The stadium has since witnessed some of the greatest achievements in St Johnstone’s history, most notably the club’s Scottish Cup victory in 2014 and Scottish League Cup triumph in 2021. It remains an important sporting venue for Perth and the surrounding area.
