Cappielow Park
Cappielow Park has been Greenock Morton’s home since the nineteenth century and is one of Scotland’s enduring traditional football grounds. Located in Greenock, close to the River Clyde, it has a distinctive character shaped by its long history and successive alterations. The ground combines older terracing and stands with more modern facilities, retaining an atmosphere associated with generations of Morton supporters. Cappielow has hosted many important league and cup matches and remains closely connected to the town’s sporting identity. Its historic layout provides a reminder of the development of Scottish football grounds over more than a century.
